our philosophy

It is our belief that saving the natural treasures on this planet is of paramount importance, and we feel a world without things "natural, wild, and free" is a lonely and dangerous one for our present and future generations. We have therefore committed ourselves as scientists and as human beings to doing our best to create a better future. By blending our talents and skills with others who share our passion, we hope to contribute to finding solutions to many of conservation's greatest challenges always with a spirit of cooperation and compassion. We believe humanity is responsible for setting our current trajectory toward ecological impoverishment and possible environmental collapse, but we also believe humanity can create an alternative future - one that benefits all life. Many are hard at work in many fields working to create a better planet. Individuals in medicine and the healing arts, poverty prevention, social justice, fine arts, and others are all creating positive change. We join these efforts by expanding the circle of interest and engagement to encompass not only humans, but all living things.
